The European Wind and Solar (E) business unit builds and operates large installations of renewable energy plants, such as solar plants, wind farms and energy storage facilities. The Project delivery team is responsible for the construction of the power plants. Good insight into and reporting on the operational and financial progress of construction is essential. Statkraft is growing in the Netherlands and therefore needs to expand the NL Construction Management team with a Project Controls Manager to support the Project Managers in delivering successful project within the given time and budget.
The Project Control Manager supports Development and Construction teams in our regions and is responsible for project controls activities, standards, processes, and tools in capital projects. The Project Controls Manager is involved in assurance activities and provide services to asset owners in relation to portfolio planning and management.
The position will be based in Den Bosch and travel within the Netherlands to the various locations of the projects is a requirement. The project controller reports to the Head of Project Delivery in the Netherlands and is responsible for the delivery of the Dutch projects. The main responisibility of Project Control Manager is to:
- Manage and co-ordinate Project Control activities in projects and across portfolio for the different technologies
- Prepare and follow up project schedules and budgets for the different phases of the project
- Perform month-end closing activities and project reporting, using the earned value methodology for both time and costs
- Support the risk management processes owned by the Project Managers and prepare forecasts for the related impact on the project in terms of time and costs
- Contribute with competence into the corporate Project Controls centre of excellence, by building
- Liaise with Finance team to ensure consistent reporting and forecasting
- Support in the development of Project Portfolio overview for the region
- Committed to the importance of working safely;
- Good command of Dutch and English;
- University degree in engineering or economics; documented experience in the field can compensate
- Project controls experience from large, complex, international investment projects
- Clear affinity with renewables and ideally relevant working experience in the renewable energy industry
- Proactive and solution-oriented with attention to details
- Team player and self-motivated to take responsibility for independent work
- Good knowledge of relevant systems and tools including Primavera P6, Microsoft Project/Project Online and SAP would be an advantage
- Flexibility in terms of travel
