- a job seeker interested in Transportation / roading as a career
- a student who has completed their 1st semester at Polytech / university,
- a Year 13 student who is thinking of engineering (particularly in the transportation field) as a career
We have had success with two of our previous cadets who have moved onto brighter things within the Transportation Industry. Which means an incredible opportunity has arisen for someone wanting to join a fun and friendly team of highly skilled professionals to train in a well-recognised career path. We want to grow our next generation of Transportation specialists.
Do you want to achieve the highly desired qualification of New Zealand diploma in Engineering (NZDE) without the student loan that comes along with that?
The cadetship programme is:
- a five year training and development programm
- which provides you with the opportunity to learn in a real world environment / situations
- the opportunity to learn on the job, from senior staff with knowledge they are willing to share.
A little about you:
Ideally to be successful in gaining entry into the training course for this role you will have:
- A minimum of NCEA Level 2 in Maths
- NCEA Leave 3 Calculus and Physics would be an advantage
- A minimum of a restricted Drivers Licence
The attributes you will need to bring are:
- A get up and go attitude with problem solving
- A willingness and commitment to learn new things
- The ability to work within a close team but can also work on their own
There will be block courses and training you are required to attend, so the flexibility to travel out of town to attend any training will be required.
