What will you be doing in this role?

The Patient Service Representative II (PSR II), following established practices, policies, and guidelines, provides clerical and administrative support/duties to the nursing and physician teams while handling high volume of patient coordination and complex scheduling in the licensed clinics. The PSR II is cross trained to cover multiple providers and is a resource. This position will be housed at PACT and clinics will be AHSP.

These responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling clinic appointments based on transplant protocol, coordinating procedures with Main Cath Lab and Imaging Dept, and other ancillary services, going to clinic, process patient check-out and rescheduling of follow-up appointments.
  • Insurance verification functions: route medical records via CS-Link, prepare transfer of care records; and sorting/scanning patient records into EMR.
  • Must function at a high-level and have a thorough understanding of the PSR role.
  • Applies a detailed knowledge of the areas of assigned responsibility, and a general knowledge of the ambulatory/outpatient physician setting and its interrelation with the Health System organization.
  • Ensures timely completion of work assignments in accord with established timelines.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 2 + years of experience working with insurance companies and obtaining authorizations required.
